Matthew 25:40 “...Verily, I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
The Benevolence Office of Trenton United Methodist Church is ministry of individuals who are dedicated to being of real assistance to those of us in our community who are experiencing overwhelming need. There is no set plan. We work to meet each individual’s present needs these come in varieties, such as food, clothing, shelter. We take each case as it comes. We may refer you to other local agencies that are better equipped to help. You may need us one time to help you over the bump and never visit the office again. Circumstances vary.
Warning: We will ask you to church. We will pray with and for you. We will love you as Christ taught us to. (So you’ll know before you get here.)

Isaiah 28:16 ….”See, I lay a stone, in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trust will never be dismayed.”
Born out of prayer and faith, Christ led our church to establish Cornerstone as a ministry that meets the needs of women leaving jail or prison with no stable home or support. Cornerstone is a resource for the community as a re-entry program and housing to help women to become independent Christian woman.
Grace Home began as a need for housing for single-mothers in our community needing shelter as part of their journey to independence from whatever crisis they were leaving. Originally this was housing in a local apartment.
Now Cornerstone and Grace are one place offering a second chance for women whether they are coming out of incarceration or in a situation that needs support. Women must be referred from a local agency and be willing to work toward achieving goals. We are able to house up to three women.
How to support this mission:
• Pray for these ladies
• Become a mentor
• Become a sponsor
• Start a jail ministry
